Fearful Thing

He's holding on just to watch her go. He said he'd never leave her alone. Fighting his last fight then he'll fight no more. and succumb to the sickness in his bones.
It's a fearful thing to love what death can touch. You can give it all but you can never give enough. When the lights go out and darkness surrounds just know that you won't be alone for long.
Where did you come from where did you go? I can see your body but I can't find your soul. I've read all the books but I'm still finding that I don't know. Where did you go?
It's a fearful thing to love what death can touch. You can give it all but you can never give enough. When the lights go out and darkness surrounds just know that you won't be alone for long.
She's saying prayers for the child on the way the doctors said all they can do is wait. She can't feel the beat, but she can hear somebody say, "It's time to go" before he ever had a chance to stay.
It's a fearful thing to love what death can touch. You can give it all but you can never give enough. When the lights go out and darkness surrounds just know that you won't be alone for long.
Just a moment in a story just a note in an infinite song
Just a fragment of the glory that has been here all along
When is the time? When does it draw near?
When will we see perfect love that drives away our fear?
It's a fearful thing to love what death can touch. You can give it all but you can never give enough. When the lights go out and darkness surrounds just know that you won't be alone for long.

I've always heard that life was long and hard when I'm down here and you are where you are. I took a gamble at the end of my rope. I took a chance there could still be hope.
This is the cry of a desperate man. A dried up root in a weary land. It's a home in disrepair that needs the builders hand. It's the lovers who are parted who know they'll meet again. It's the lovers who are parted who know they'll meet again.
I swear I love you even when I don't. My mind keeps doubting but my heart it won't.
This is the son who shames the family name. The child afraid to touch the lion's mane. It's the sun and moon that rise and fall every day the same. It's the kiss between the man and wife. It's the reason the guests came. It's the kiss between he man and wife. It's the reason the guests came.
It's so easy doing the hardest thing I've ever done in my entire life
Letting go just feels like being born again without the weight of my selfish pride. All I ask is please just help my unbelief, because I believe it's not over yet. Let me hear your words. Write them on my heart, because I know I will soon forget.
I took a gamble at the end of my rope. I took a chance that there could still be hope.

Lion Lore Grand Rapids, Michigan
Lion Lore is a collaboration of close friends who all happen to be singer songwriters; each of them bringing a different perspective and medium for the conveyance of their works. There exists within each of these an unintended, but very identifiable continuity of spiritual struggle, and questioning, and deep emotional conflict from which the name "Lion Lore," is derived. ... more
